About Renee Doddington

Originally from Panama City, Florida, Renee discovered her passion for physical therapy after witnessing the life-changing impact it had on a close friend recovering from a serious car accident. With a strong background in dance and ballet, she found her calling in helping people restore and optimize movement. Renee earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science (2004) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2007) from the University of Florida. Since moving to Atlanta, she has built extensive experience across outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine settings, treating clients of all ages and abilities. Her work spans from active adults and recreational athletes to professionals performing at the highest level — including professional ballet dancers, NFL and WNBA athletes, NHL players, and stunt performers. With a strong focus on manual therapy, Renee achieved the distinction of Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) through the Maitland approach, which emphasizes individualized assessment, evidence-based treatment, and patient-centered care. She is also certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and Nutritional Physical Therapy, and has completed hundreds of hours of advanced continuing education. In addition to her work in private practice, Renee serves as a physical therapist with Atlanta Ballet, helping professional dancers sustain peak performance. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), and the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) — reflecting her commitment to staying at the forefront of her field. She has also regularly mentored physical therapy students as a clinical instructor. Outside the clinic, Renee enjoys staying active through cycling, traveling, cheering on her Florida Gators, and spending time with her wild and crazy puppy, Bruder. She is also a passionate advocate for Alzheimer’s research and fundraising.
