“The experience was nothing but professional and top shelf service. I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in and promptly signed in. Dr. Johnson greeted me with a smile and walked me back to the evaluation room. I felt the examination and the explanation by Dr. Johnson of what was occurring to me physically, was thorough and done with clarity and simplicity. We proceeded to the part of the facility that is used for physical rehab and performance training where Dr. Johnson proceeded manually manipulated the joint in question work through some of the discomfort I was experiencing from my injury. Again, Dr. Johnson was thorough and explained every step of his manual procedures as to why he was working a specific area a certain way and what I may experience as he proceeds. Finally, Dr. Johnson filmed me using my phone, doing the prescribed exercises to help with my rehab. It was nice to be able to see how I was supposed to perform each exercise. Thorough, professional, caring.”

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Howard University, a Master of Science in Athletic Training from George Mason University, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Howard University. His extensive experience includes a Sports Medicine Fellowship with the Minnesota Vikings, a clinical rotation with the Washington Mystics, an athletic training internship with the Arizona Cardinals, and multiple rotations supporting athletes from high school to the Division I collegiate level. With a special interest in treating knee, ankle, and low back conditions, Dr. Johnson is committed to delivering the highest quality care for athletes at every level — helping them move better, recover faster, and perform at their peak.
