He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University before obtaining his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2022. Shane recently completed a Sports Physical Therapy Residency in Michigan, where he worked with athletes and active individuals of all levels—from youth to collegiate competitors—guiding them through rehabilitation and return-to-play strategies. His hands-on experience includes sideline coverage for high school and junior college athletics, where he collaborated with athletic trainers to manage acute injuries on the field. In addition to his residency training, Shane served as a physical therapist for University of Detroit Mercy Athletics, where he worked with basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and track and field athletes, helping them recover from injuries and return to peak performance. Shane is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is trained in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA Level 1). His passion lies in helping athletes and active individuals optimize movement, recover effectively, and perform at their highest level. Outside of the clinic, Shane is a loyal fan of Detroit sports and enjoys staying active through distance running, powerlifting, and playing sports of all kinds. He also loves traveling and exploring new places with his wife, Rachel.
