Ryan earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also received his Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science with a Certificate in Pathokinesiology. During his clinical experience in Pittsburgh, Ryan had the opportunity to work with athletic, orthopedic, geriatric, and pediatric populations in the outpatient setting. While completing his undergraduate degree, Ryan served as a strength and conditioning coordinator and captain for the nationally ranked Ultimate Frisbee team. After retiring from his collegiate playing career, he served as an assistant coach for Pittsburgh's developmental ultimate frisbee program. Ryan's involvement in these athletic programs sparked a passion for helping young athletes reach their highest potentials, both on and off the field. This passion continues to drive him in his clinical practice, where he plans to obtain his Sports Clinical Specialist Certification to further support his patients. Ryan currently serves as the Head Trainer/PT and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for New York Empire, NYC's professional ultimate frisbee team. He has become well known in the ultimate community internationally for his expertise in keeping high-level athletes on the field and performing at their best. He also serves as the Rehabilitation and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for DEVYL, New Jersey's youth ultimate frisbee program. A native of Long Island, Ryan most recently lived in Pittsburgh before returning to the New York area. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, traveling, and exercising.
