About Samantha Farhi

Sam Farhi earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Allied Health with a minor in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut in 2020. After graduating from UConn, Sam went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree at the University of Rhode Island in 2023. While attending URI, Sam participated and co-founded URI's first Community-dwelling Older Adult Balance Screening Program and also became a certified trained instructor in Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance (TJQMBB). That sparked her interest in working with the geriatric population with a focus on balance and fall risk prevention. Her additional clinical interests include orthopedics and neurology. Sam Farhi was a former gymnast and assistant gymnastics coach for the Wilton YMCA. Her personal experience with physical therapy as an injured gymnast is what lead her towards beginning a rewarding and meaningful career in PT. Her personal interests include hiking, working out, bike riding, and going to the beach.
