Dr. Sawsan is a co-founder of PT of The City. She is a licensed physical therapist in the USA and Egypt. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Dominican College and holds a Master's in Physical Therapy from Cairo University. With a strong interest in spinal and joint problems and post-operative rehabilitation, she has earned certifications as a kinesio and sports taping practitioner, Mulligan and McKenzie specialist, musculoskeletal diploma, neurological rehabilitation, and lymphedema manual practitioner. She began her professional career as a clinical instructor at one of the highest-ranked educational hospitals in Egypt. Her ultimate goal is to enhance patients' quality of life.

I was barely seen while there. The PT that was assigned to me would give me an exercise and then leave, not correct form or even watch for things related to my injury. One of the employees referenced the fat on my body and said “she’ll trade you some fat if you give her some height” when an employee said he wanted to gain weight and overheard that I’m studying to become a dietitian. I was very uncomfortable.

I can’t stress how amazing this PT Sawsan is she truly truly is a gem! She is very sweet and truly cares! Above all don’t be mistaken she can def do an insane massage. I had shoulder problem and she made it so much better in the first visit so far already!!!!! There is no one out there like her!!
There is truly absolutely no way anyone else can be better!

Wow where do I begin! My experience with PT of the City has been the best. First off the staff is wonderful. Dr. Sawsan has been so patient with me on my journey to heal my tennis elbow. Her techniques & advice have helped me strengthen my arms to do my job as a photographer. Sean and Alex also have incredible hands and their massages give me so much relief. Dr. Esraa even showed me some really good workouts that I can practice at home. Lastly, Krystal always has a smile on her face when I walk through the door. She goes above and beyond to keep the office extremely clean. Overall I would recommend PT of the city to my family and friends!

I am definitely returning to Dr. Abdelaal! I went in feeling hopeless as my plantar fasciitis and back is terrible. Upon entering the girls at the desk were extremely nice. The doctor saw me right away and was able to assess what needed to be done. She came up with a treatment plan that I feel really hopeful about and I will be seeing her three times/week. Also the massage felt amazing from the young gentleman (sorry I am terrible with remembering names). I am very happy that I am seeing her as I feel my pain will get better with her treatment. Thank you Dr. Abdelaal! A+++++++++

It's almost a month now since I first visited PT of the City and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience and my improvement. After years of trying several physical therapists and clinics both in Brooklyn and Manhattan, I have finally find one that works perfectly for me. All the physical therapists there are extremely knowledgable and pleasant to work with. Each session is specifically tailored not only to my general complaint or issue but also to the way I feel on the particular day and time of visit. I'm an athlete with multiple knee and shoulder issues and I won't be looking anywhere else for professional and capable treatment.

Though I did not have Dr Sawson work with me every physical therapist, Osama and Mohamed have been really helpful. They work with you. And in my case answer my million questions and concerns with patience. I do love they have an app they use that you van view your exercises and have a dialogue with a physical therapist-which I rely on when I am not sure or need an exercise to relieve pain.
I had back surgery in Sept 2020 and they have helped me get comfortable with being touched on my sensitive back.
They also ask about your goals which is really important to me and my recovery. Also Ana the receptionist is a sweetheart.
Cant wait for my current pain to ease so I can go back.
