Getting to know Dr. Scott Litwack

I am a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy. I specialize in working with adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and loss. I also have extensive experience helping clients navigate major life transitions across the lifespan, from early adulthood challenges to adjustment with retirement and aging. I utilize cognitive and behavioral techniques to help clients develop healthy, meaningful, and satisfying lives and relationships. Treatment begins with collaboratively identifying treatment goals that align with clients' values. We work to balance change and acceptance in treatment to help clients move toward a more values-consistent life. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut and hold a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University. I am an Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine and a Staff Psychologist in the Center for Returning Veterans at the Jamaica Plain Campus of the VA Boston Healthcare System.
