Scott Toronto, PT

Physical Therapist
4401 Harrison Blvd, Ogden, UT
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from BYU-Idaho in 2007 and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine-San Diego in 2012. I am certified in Mechanical Diagnosis Therapy (Cert MDT) using the McKenzie Method for treating the spine, Functional Trigger Point Dry Needling, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). I got into physical therapy because I've always been interested in sports and how the human body moves and heals itself after injury. I have a passion for helping individuals reach their goals by overcoming injuries and physical limitations. I have worked as a Physical Therapist for over 12 years, specializing in orthopedic and spinal conditions. In examining each patient, I perform an active movement mechanical assessment of the body and then tailor each treatment plan to the individual. This includes mechanical repetitive movements, functional stabilization and strengthening, hands-on manual therapy of passive joint movements, and myofascial release. I was born and raised in Farmington, UT. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys, cheering for BYU and the Utah Jazz, being outdoors, playing sports like golf and basketball, and watching Star Wars and Marvel movies. I am also fluent in Spanish.
