About Dr. Sheherezad Dubash

Dr. Dubash is an **Out of Network Provider** (PLEASE READ FURTHER) Being an out-of-network provider allows for all sessions to be one-on-one and therefore more effective. If you are unsure whether you have out-of-network benefits, Dr. Dubash will verify your benefits on your behalf before you book your appointment through ZocDoc. About: Dr. Sheherezad (Sherry) Dubash is a board-certified physical therapist licensed in the state of New York. She began her physical therapy career in 2011 after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Prior to that, she received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in 2008. Having worked in previous physical therapy clinics that were overcrowded and double-booked with patients, Dr. Dubash noticed the quality of care was severely compromised. Patients took longer to get better and achieve their goals because not enough one-on-one time was available. As a PT who values quality over quantity, she emphasizes targeted yet holistic treatment sessions and prevention after recovery. By adopting the one-on-one based PT model, there is a striking increase in quicker recovery times, a decrease in re-injury, and excellent compliance due to convenience.

I cannot say enough good things about Sherry Dubash. She is the best, so knowledgable and professional. Sherry really helped me with knee issues that had given me pain for years. But beyond that she has taught me to understand my body better. She is, at all times, kind, calm, and attentive. I am an older client and the work that Sherry does with me makes me more confident with my body. Her work allows me to grow old gracefully, with more control and balance.
I have been seeing Sherry for 4 years for a myriad of reasons. She has helped me forego foot surgery, prepare and recover from a marathon, correct my posture, and alleviate my TMU pain. I cannot think of a problem or injury that I haven't thrown at her over the years. And I now cannot go a week or 2 without stumbling into her office eager for a tune-up. She is truly gifted at her job, and incorporates such a holistic approach to health & recovery. I really believe anyone can benefit from her treatment even in absence of singular diagnosis or ailment- I now continue see her to just offset the impact of high intensity training. She also happens to be a fabulous person, and I enjoy her company as much as the physical relief I receive from our sessions. I write this review as a friend, but more so someone who has experienced consistent & tangible results from our time together. You cannot go wrong from purchasing a package. Try it, your body will thank you!!
Doctor Dubash is very thorough with her examination and treatment. Her treatments are always one on one with a combination of exercises and hands on work. I would highly recommend her.
Dr. Sherry Dubash is by far the best physical therapist I've ever worked with. For context, I have been in and out of physical therapy for over 5 years due to herniated discs in my spine and chronic pain. Sherry was the first physical therapist that looked at me as a whole person (ie what I do for work, what my lifestyle is like, what my goals are) and holistically developed a treatment plan to help me rebuild strength and work towards living an active more pain-free life. She's incredibly knowledgeable and open with current evidence-based information modalities and engages in dialogue to help me understand why I was doing a specific strength building or stretch exercise. Her explanation of the chronic pain cycle helped me identify my antecedents/triggers for pain which allowed me to anticipate when I may have a flare up, what to do about it and thus creating a less negative relationship with my pain. She has genuinely changed my life, and gave me hope and proof that I am able to live a active lifestyle despite being told otherwise by previous doctors or PTs. After working with Shery, I have had way fewer pain flareups, barely any nerve pain, and have begun to exercise and play tennis again (after years of not being able to). If you want a PT that is kind, compassionate and understanding of the mind/body connection, I can't recommend Dr Sherry Dubash enough!
Amazingly helpful! Dr. Sherry is a talented practitioner. She uses a lot of manual techniques and the exercises are always useful and feel excellent! Grateful to have found my True North!
