About Shilpi Kapoor

Shilpi earned her Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Manipal University in India. She graduated in 2021 and has practiced at an outpatient clinic specializing in orthopedics, manual therapy and pelvic floor PT in India. During this time, Shilpi obtained various certifications including Pelvic floor Examination, APPI Matwork Pilates, Rigid Taping and other workshops. In addition, she has experience working in home health care settings with a focus on improving the overall health and mobility of geriatric patients. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from LIU Brooklyn and will graduate in May 2024. In her first year at LIU, she earned her Corrective Exercise Specialist certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). In the future, Shilpi aims to treat all genders with a focus on pelvic floor PT. Outside of work, Shilpi is passionate about different methods of coffee making, from bean to cup, and loves to learn and develop her brewing skills. She appreciates learning about the many histories, cultures and food found throughout the city. She admires all animals with a sweet spot for dogs.
