Dr. Skye Harry, DPT

Physical Therapist
Hi, I’m Dr. Skye Harry. I’m originally from a small town in rural Pennsylvania. I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years until injuries ultimately forced me to retire. I moved across the country for a new adventure, and attended Arizona State University graduating with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology. At ASU I became bored with my typical exercise routine consisting of treadmills, machines, and working out by myself. In 2013 I found CrossFit. I was drawn to the sport for the constant challenge, personal growth, and supportive community. It filled my needs as an ex-gymnast to keep up with things like handstands and pullups. After college I went to grad school at the University of Southern California and earned my clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While in school I continued training at different CrossFit gyms and learned how each is unique. Through my experiences I have become passionate about helping Crossfitters of all levels. I understand how intimidating it is to walk into your first class, use only a PVC pipe, have no idea what the movements are, and still feel like you are dying during the WOD. For those of you who are more experienced, I have also participated in several local competitions. I understand your frustrations with nagging aches and pains that come up from pushing yourself to the limit during competition training. I also have a passion for helping moms to feel like themselves again. I do functional pelvic floor training to decrease incontinence with things like double unders, lifting heavy, and running. I help post partum women with core strengthening and return to gymnastics and weightlifting. I also can help with modifications to continue training through pregnancy.
