Getting to know Dr. Stacy Golman

Hello! My name is Stacy. Do you feel overwhelmed, stressed, sad, or irritated? Do you struggle with low self-esteem and self-confidence? You are not alone?these are very common feelings. I have been working as a psychologist for 10 years and have supported many clients facing similar concerns. Sometimes people are afraid to begin therapy or don't know what to expect. They may hesitate to open up to a stranger about personal topics they rarely share with others. That is completely normal and okay. I understand the importance of creating a safe space and a warm, trusting environment. I help people identify patterns, behaviors, and thoughts to determine whether they are helpful or not. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide compassionate, effective care. I hope to hear from you so we can start this journey together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our first session, I will get to you and your story. We will talk about what brings you into therapy and what you hope to get out of the process. You may decide you want to learn specific skills or you may decide that you want to focus on understanding why. Whatever direction we take in therapy, you will experience a safe place where any topic is okay to discuss. As we continue therapy, you will learn about your patterns and your strengths. You may begin to see things from a different perspective. You might realize there are things you want to change that you never knew about. It's not about right or wrong - it's about finding what works for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
