Getting to know Stefania Maiorana

Therapy is never “one size fits all”, progress is not linear, and having support to navigate your world is invaluable! Having worked in various settings and with a wide variety of clients, I know how important it is to meet you where they are; and that starts with building a strong therapeutic rapport - I strive to show up with empathy, authenticity, and consistency, creating a space where clients feel supported and understood. I also take a collaborative, holistic approach, recognizing the importance of supporting all areas of a client’s life. I value ongoing learning and regularly seek opportunities to expand my clinical skills to provide the highest quality care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with all clients across the lifespan, most often working on topics like life transitions, anxiety, depression and family relational difficulties. My approach is rooted in many different evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) , play therapy, solution focused therapy and client centered therapy, however, I firmly believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual. I do consider myself a life-long learner in the field, always looking to add to my therapist toolbox to make sure I’m providing the best possible care for each client I work with. I also believe in collaboration to improve all domains of a clients life, approaching each client with a holistic lens.
