About Dr. Susan Woodruff

Susan has been practicing physical therapy for almost 20 years in the lovely state of Colorado. She has her Bachelors of Applied Health Sciences from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia. Susan has a passion for all people, and is experienced in treating patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric. Susan loves the diverse population Aurora offers and is excited to be part of the FYZICAL family. The diagnoses Susan treats is broad, and aside from general orthopedic patients, she enjoys treating more specialized diagnoses such as vestibular dysfunction and lymphedema. Susan is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) and performs Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) for patients with lymphedema. Mostly, Susan loves getting the opportunity to assist her patients in their rehabilitation journey, and help them return to their highest level of function possible. In her free time Susan enjoys being outside which includes hiking, traveling, experiencing the ocean, and everything involving the mountains. She also enjoys watching sports and hanging out with friends, as well as visiting her family in Illinois where she grew up. She is still active in sports, and is on a few adult leagues playing sand volleyball and softball. Aside from being active, she enjoys laughter and being kind to everyone she encounters. She loves cheesy jokes and quotes, two of which state: “a smile is contagious, be a carrier!”, and the truth Patch Adams spoke: “laughter is the best medicine!”
