Suzanne Amadi, LCP

Psychologist
CA
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Los Angeles County, CA, and working with clients via telehealth. I work with adults and help address various mental and behavioral health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, stress and adjustment, and anger management, for example. I strive to help others live a more fulfilling and meaningful life through the use of psychoeducation, self-awareness, and acceptance and/or change strategies. My approach I provide research evidence-based therapy using a cognitive-behavioral therapy orientation to inform the work I do with clients. Within the scope of my theoretical orientation, I utilize various modalities such as Mindfulness, Cognitive and/or Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and informed Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques to help clients make progress in reaching their potential and gaining recovery to feel better. The work that we do together will be based on your specific needs and goals you want to achieve during our time together. My focus I work with clients with mild to moderate levels of symptom severity. I have experience working with an array of clinical concerns, including depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, general stress and/or adjustment issues, sleep concerns, self-esteem issues, difficulties managing chronic pain, and anger management, for example. My communication style I use an inter-personally warm approach when interacting with clients. I also acknowledge the relevancy of culture and identity, when these factors are highlighted by my clients during care. I use a collaborative approach when providing structured evidence-based care while using my client's goals as a guiding post for their treatment. My journey to mental healthcare Since a young age, I found myself being empathic to many people and sensitive to their feelings and concerns.
