About Dr. Thomas Tilton

Thomas Tilton, PT, DPT, USAW, SFMA, grew up in Islip, New York, and graduated from Islip High School. From there, he went on to attend Sacred Heart University, where he played football while earning his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2011. Thomas attended Sacred Heart University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, where he graduated in 2013 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at Sacred Heart, Thomas was selected to perform his clinical affiliation with the San Francisco Giants. Throughout this clinical, he received extensive training in working with sports-related injuries with multiple Major League Baseball players under the instruction of San Francisco Giants’ head Physical Therapist, Tony Reale. Among Thomas’ other clinical experience, he was selected to participate in a clinical at the renowned NYU Cardiac Rehab Center and St. Charles’ Hospital’s Orthopedic Rehab Floor As a former private sector athletic performance coach, Thomas has had the privilege of working side by side with high school, college and professional level athletes in the application of testing data to design and implementing customized programs for athletes. His clinical interests include the shoulder, knees and sports-related injuries including return-to-play protocols.
