A little atypical of a doctor, but a great doctor nonetheless.
I actually preferred the manner in which we met. I saw the doctor, (who was NOT rushing to see the next patient) and had a more casual first encounter where we discussed the medications I am taking.
For once, in a long time, I didn't feel like I was being given pills and being directed towards the door.
Dr. Nidhiry knows her pharmacology and is very adept when it comes to drug interactions. I was confident in her changes to my current medication regimen and I am looking forward to seeing results.
I understand some of the negative reviews on ZocDoc, but I want to give some more perspective. I consider myself an open-minded person, thus I was able to accept Dr. Nidhiry's casual appearance. Coming from a medical background myself, I've learned that how a physician presents himself means relatively nothing; I've been to pristine offices, with an immaculate doctor who is terrible and vice versa.
Dr. Nidhiry speaks English well, but with a little accent. Being a native English speaker, this did not affect me at all. All of my questions were thoroughly and clearly answered.
In terms of the facility, I was satisfied. Russian language assistance is available if needed, but English speakers are just as welcome. I was present for a psychiatry visit, so the actual office didn't really apply to me; we both had chairs and a table between us... what else do you need. But in retrospect, the facility (which houses many different doctors/dentists) was clean on the inside.
I'll finish by saying that Dr. Nidhiey is a great doctor, but not a 'flashy' one. If you care more about the "classy-ness" or prestige of your medical care, rather than the actual care itself, then Dr. Nidhiry is not for you.
