About Dr. Darlenis Sanchez Licea
Dr. Darlenis Sanchez Licea was born and raised in Cuba, where her passion for dentistry began at an early age. She fulfilled her dream by graduating with high honors in May 2012 from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba. After briefly practicing dentistry in Cuba, she moved to Venezuela, where she served as a general dentist for three years, providing comprehensive care, including preventive, restorative, surgical, and emergency services.
In 2016, Dr. Sanchez Licea relocated to the United States and worked as a dental assistant with both an orthodontist and a general dentist for three years. She then pursued further education through the Advanced Standing Program at Boston University, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2021. Dr. Sanchez Licea is deeply committed to delivering the highest quality patient care by staying current with the latest techniques and fostering clear communication with her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Sanchez Licea finds joy in spending time with her family, engaging in outdoor activities, and traveling. Her son is her greatest inspiration, motivating her to be the best person and doctor she can be. Dr. Sanchez Licea is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Horrible experience. I wanted a dental cleaning. Instead they tried to upsell me thousands of dollars worth of work and I never got a cleaning. Now I need to book a new appointment with a new dentist. The staff was very unprofessional. No one knew what was going on. They told me the work I needed, including the cleaning, wasn’t covered by my insurance even though it was supposed to be. I should have read their reviews first because I wouldn’t have wasted my time.

I came in for an urgent visit to address a painful chipped molar, but unfortunately left without any treatment or relief.
After a long wait and multiple X-rays, the dentist focused almost entirely on non-urgent procedures and presented a treatment plan totaling over $5,000, most of which related to issues either already addressed elsewhere or not immediately necessary. Although I clearly stated that my main concern was the painful, exposed molar, I was not given any practical option to treat it that day. Instead, I was pressured to commit to extensive work on the spot, there was no acknowledgment of my immediate situation, and no temporary solution was offered.
I left having wasted two hours, was charged for the visit, still in pain, and without any care for the dental emergency I came in for. While I understand the importance of long-term treatment planning, it should never come at the expense of urgent care. Patients deserve to feel heard and prioritized, especially when in pain.

I made an appointment for a routine consultation and cleaning. I was hustled in and they took X-rays after about 30 minutes and then I waited an hour for the dentist to see me. After the dentist did her consult, the assistant came in and told me they wouldn’t have time for a cleaning and I’d have to schedule a follow up.
The first availability they had was for more than a month out. Bad communication and expectations the whole time.
