About Dr. Efrain Coronado
Dr. Efrain Coronado has been a part of the Sage Dental family in South Florida for over 15 years.
He attended the University of Maryland for dental school, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998.
With 21 years of experience practicing all facets of general dentistry, Dr. Coronado collaborates closely with specialists to deliver the best possible results. He brings experience, passion, and compassionate care to all of his patients.
In 2009, he founded Missions of Love, a humanitarian mission that provides free dental and medical services to those most in need in Colombia. Missions of Love also offers technical training, recreation, and more.
In his free time, Dr. Coronado enjoys tennis, soccer, and traveling. He and his wife, Estefania, are happily married and have four children: Natasha, Julian, Samuel, and Victoria.

They took a long time for my appointment. They X Ray took a long time . They did a quick consultation for nothing and Had me to come back for an expensive teeth cleaning when I just came for a yearly cleaning that my insurance pays for. I do need feelings and crowns as well

First red flag: while waiting to be seen the receptionist was having a conversation about a patient that called in. One rep asked what the patient name came up as on the caller id. I called on a Tuesday and spoke to a rep and expressed to her that I was in so much pain and asked if the dr can prescribe me anything, she stated that she would speak to him and give me a call back. Hrs passed so I called for a follow up and got a different rep who advised me the same. Hrs go by again so I called to confirm and that’s when the screening of my calls began. The office would not answer my calls. I had to act as if I was a new patient to get transferred (conveniently they answered ) The worse part is they scheduled me an appt for an extraction to be done and wait until the day of after screening my calls to say they have referred me elsewhere. Now if they would’ve answered and provided proper customer service someone would’ve caught the error and I wouldn’t have been sitting in pain for days!

The front desk staff was great and very kind. The doctor was pleasant and understanding. The dental hygienist stabbed really hard in the gum. I know it was by mistake, but it still hurts and will probably go heal within the next few days. The biggest issue I had was with the dental assistant, she was rude. Maybe she had a bad day. But I won't be returning

I was disappointed that even though I have insurance which they took, I was charged a lot of money!!! When the dentist did come, he put together a treatment plan without reviewing it with me, so I had no input in terms of cost and what would actually be done to my mouth. Once the treatment plan was shown to me, I had to accept it or just leave my appointment. Zero options.
I felt overall the place was more about collecting money than actually caring about the patient. I never received a follow-up call and do not plan on going back.

This is a sales organization that does dental health on the side. I regularly go to the dentist and recently moved to Atlanta and tried to establish care with them. I went for a routine cleaning and they did everything but that.
Then instead of a cleaning they take me to front desk for an expensive treatment plan with tons of issues that haven’t been present in years of me seeing my old dentist and just popped up within the last six months. ON TOP OF THAT when I asked for a routine cleaning while I consider the treatment plan they said no! I would not recommend at all- my experience was that of high pressure sales tactics instead of care for my oral health.

Love Love LOVED Dr Coronado and Kim the skilled unfortunate he sent into The Pit for deep cleaning. I was extremely pleased with my treatment but extremely displeased about the 3 hour wait BEFORE I was treated. :(
There is no excuse for any patient having to wait 2 1/2 hours BEFORE being seen and then only because I flagged Dr C down in the hallway. I know that he is not personally responsible but the buck has to stop somewhere so.......
