About Dr. Hang Gao
Dr. Gao was born in Shanghai and grew up in Queens. She studied business and commerce at Macaulay Honors College, and then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry. While in dental school, she received the Racquel Z. LeGeros Biomaterial Research Award for her work on the protective effects of calcium containing toothpastes against acid found in soft drinks. Dr. Gao was trained at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital for her general dentistry residency. Dr. Gao is very patient and gentle with her patients. When she’s not working, Dr. Gao loves to explore other countries and cultures. She enjoys taking architecture and landscape photographs when she travels.

The staff in the office was very friendly and helped me navigate my insurance. I was a bit late for my appointment but still, Dr Gao was very patient and consulted me for my crown installation. She was very precise and straight to the point. Both of my appointments for consultation, cleaning, and crown installation were very quick. Will definitely come back again for a check up!

Completely rushed dental cleaning (done under 10 minutes). I admit I arrived 20 minutes late for my appointment but for a “one hour appointment” allotment with no updated paperwork, I had about 40 minutes left and was told “we’ll see if we can do everything.” I got my teeth x-rayed and cleaned and was out of the office in 17 minutes. Unfortunately I knew this could happen because I visited for the first time months ago also for a cleaning and was treated the same (very rushed). I also know I need dental work done (gum treatment, etc.) but they said very little about it or next steps. I’ve experienced better dental offices so in comparison, if you want more detail oriented, clearly communicated, and compassionate care, I would seek elsewhere.

My visit to this office, was my very first time. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness, and professional staff attention. Dr. Hannah Gao, was so nice and knowledgeable. I work as an Oral/ Dental Surgery Assistant, and I actually understood everything she explained to me in my treatment plan. She didn’t miss a thing! Teresa, the Hygienist, was the BEST! She really knows how to make her patient feel welcome, important and good! I liked her a lot. This is hands down, one of the BEST Dental Offices in America!!!

The office was highly disorganized. After waiting in an overcrowded waiting room for 30 minutes, I was brought into an exam room in the back. Over the span of the next NINETY minutes, no fewer than 5 different people put their hands in my mouth. People were walking in/out of the room and would ask me "did the doctor do xyz yet?" It was unscheduled chaos.

First time seeing Dr. Gao. The overall experience was excellent. Friendly staff from calling/texting to confirm, to when I arrive the office and walk me out the office. Doctors were very warm and professional. All my questions were answered nicely. High recommend!

The doctor was very nice, efficient and good at explaining the issue with my tooth. And open on Sundays, which I am so grateful for. Super friendly reception staff and a dedicated coordinator to help with financing, payment and scheduling (why doesn’t every doctor/dentist have that?). Excellent overall experience.

It’s rare for a dental office to be open on a Sunday and I am so happy that it is!! I was able to schedule an appointment and not miss any time away from work. The process is very smooth and professional and my hygienist Kim was awesome so nice and friendly and did a great job with my teeth. They answered all my questions and even gave me a heads up on costs of other services I was inquiring about for the future. I will be back!
