Dr. Sanaz Vahid DDS is a compassionate and highly trained periodontist with an extensive background in Implant Dentistry. A second-generation dentist, she followed her father’s footsteps in the field of dentistry. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 2014. After dental school, Dr. Vahid acquired a degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. Her passion and dedication to higher learning made her pursue a degree in periodontics and implant surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2018.
Dr. Vahid is the founder and president of Women of the World of Dentistry. She is highly active in the Washington DC Dental Community. Dr. Vahid has authored and co-authored multiple publications including studies on the relationship of PCOS and periodontal disease and Sleep Apnea and periodontal disease. She is a member of the American Board of Periodontology since 2015.
Growing up in the Washington DC area, it humbles her to return to the area and give back to the community. During her free time, she loves to travel and spend time with her loved ones.
