About Dr. Sean Reed

Upon completing his dental school training, Dr. Reed was recognized for his exceptional clinical skillset among dental school graduates by being presented the Robert DiTolla Award. He then continued to pursue more advanced training at the University of Utah Hospital where he completed a 1-year general practice residency. He entered private practice in 2012 where he has continued to seek extensive continuing education on a variety of topics, most especially oral surgery and implant dentistry. In his ongoing training, Dr. Reed continues to learn how integral oral health is to one’s overall health and aspires to improve his patient’s lives as a whole through exceptional dentistry. Every year Dr. Reed loves to participate in a number of opportunities to donate his time and training to our military vets and others in need in our community and abroad. Dr. Reed and his wife, Shannon, have six young kids at home. This keeps them always on the go with soccer, basketball, gymnastics, theater, and the various activities in which their kids participate. They are very active in their church. Through it and Horizon Dental Group they enjoy serving and giving back to our wonderful community. When she’s not with their children, Shannon loves fitness instructing and personal training. Dr. Reed loves the outdoors and Prescott is perfectly situated for enjoying them. He is often out riding or running the local trails. In recent years he has discovered and fallen in love with ultratrail running. Fun Facts: Dr. Reed is fluent in Spanish. He learned Spanish upon serving a 2-year mission for his church. He has run numerous marathons and ultramarathons of up to 105 miles. He hopes to one day run the Boston Marathon and to compete in a particular ultratrail race in Europe. Dr. Reed and his wife have 3 boys and 3 girls, the youngest of which came as recently as Sep. 2020.
