About Dr. Helen Tran Nguyen

Dr. Helen Tran graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology and a minor in Psychology. Afterward, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree at Marshall B. Ketchum University and achieved Magna Cum Laude. Her clinical externships were focused on primary eye care, treatment and management of ocular disease, and specialty fit contact lenses. Dr. Tran rotated through Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital, AZ, Veterans Affairs West Los Angeles, CA and Family Eye Care, CA. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate career, Dr. Tran volunteered her time at local vision screenings and health fairs. She also had the opportunity to participate in a mission trip to Zihuatanejo to provide eye care to the underserved communities. Outside the practice, Dr. Tran is an avid snowboarder, a foodie enthusiast, and loves to workout to Yoga and indoor cycling. Dr. Tran continues to give back to the community and is a mentor for aspiring optometrists.
