I was given a new eye prescription that differed from the prescription I’ve been wearing for a decade+. I expressed some concerns regarding the new prescription based on what past ophthalmologists have explained to me regarding my eyesight and needs, but decided to give the new prescription a try based on the provider’s professional assessment. When I picked up my new glasses, it was incredibly difficult to see and I felt nauseous looking through the lens, which is exactly what I feared. I made a new appointment and went back to the provider and got my prescription updated, but it still differs from my original prescription which I again expressed concerns about, but I did not feel my concerns were heard. It’s frustrating to have spent extra time and money to see this provider twice.
