“The staff was very friendly and explained everything that they were doing for the exam. The doctor was very friendly and listened to my concerns and addressed each one. We figured out what prescription I needed for glasses and the entire process was very smooth and efficient. Great office staff as well. Very clean office. Thank you. ?”

“i had a really great experience here. i had some trouble reaching my insurance to get it switched to this office and one of the folks at the front desk did it for me, such a relief. And during my appointment, I felt faint (typical for me in medical settings) and dr. lavelle was so so kind. she brought me an ice pack and allowed me to sit on the floor until I was feeling better and continued to check in with me without making me feel judged!
my only critique is that i specifically provided my pronouns in my intake forms and i was not properly gendered once.”

About Dr. Maria Lavalle
Dr. Lavalle grew up in the small town of Royston, Georgia. She was drawn to the field of optometry after her father was diagnosed with a malignant tumor inside his eye. Being heavily influenced by the care of her family optometrist, Dr. Lavalle pursued a career in optometry where she could provide patients with the same dedicated personalized care that had been demonstrated to her family. In her free time, she enjoys keeping an active outdoor lifestyle through hiking, cycling and camping.
Dr. Lavalle graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. from the University of Georgia. She graduated Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry.

I booked my appointment just two days in advance and had a phenomenal experience. From start to finish, the staff made me feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and attentive. I couldn’t have asked for a better visit.
