“Dr. Clay takes the time to listen to my concerns and work with my goals instead of just prescribing meds and calling it done. He also takes time to ask questions to get to the bottom of my problems so he can find the correct medicine to help. Many Drs before didn't get to the root of the problem and didnt understand me enough to find medication that worked. Dr. Clay took the time, advocated for me with insurance, and ended up finding the perfect combo of meds to help me. The whole office staff, especially Olivia the TMS Tech, is very welcoming and friendly. They are always there to help me and never make me feel like a burden or inconvenience for not being able to use the correct terminology for my feelings sometimes. They help me through it and I really appreciate the care and compassion they show.”

Getting to know Dr. Aaron Clay

I am a licensed Doctor of Osteopathy with board certification in adult psychiatry. I joined Serenity Mental Health Center’s clinical team in September 2019 and I bring seven years of experience as a mental health clinician specialized in psychiatric treatment in multiple therapeutic settings, including mental health outpatient, inpatient, Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization programs. I work with adults of all ages and from all walks of life who struggle with complex mental health conditions such as clinical depression, anxiety, PTSD and OCD, and more. My goal with every patient is to seek out-of-the-box solutions to help them find lasting relief from their symptoms of mental illness and ultimately achieve remission whenever possible. Born and raised in Arizona, I completed my undergraduate studies at the Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. After earning my degree in osteopathic medicine from A. T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, I joined the residency program for my medical training in adult psychiatry at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida. There, I accumulated valuable clinical experience treating for a diverse variety of mental health conditions in different settings. My approach to mental health treatment is centered around having a complete understanding of each patient’s individual circumstances, mental health history, daily challenges, lifestyle and symptoms. I work in partnership with my patients to define achievable health goals to improve their quality of life and apply evidence-based treatment strategies targeted to their unique needs. Some of my favorite personal pursuits are camping, hiking, gardening, cooking, and amateur astronomy.

The visit was very informing and not vague like most doctors I have attended to, I appreciate the advice Dr. Clay has to sy.

I always feel comfortable coming to your office everybody is kind and listens to you and wants to help you
The Serenity office provides their schedule and bookable appointments on Zoc Doc however when I arrived on the scheduled day/time of the appointment scheduled via Zoc Doc , I was informed they don't have an appointment scheduled for me and that they don't use the platform. I called Zoc Doc and was told they have an account and will escalate internal to provide the feedback.
Wonderful!

It was a terrible experience. I booked my appointment on here and saw that it went through. I received confirmation via email and text regarding my appointment. I even received a text asking me to submit paperwork insurance online. The clinic was 35 minutes from my house and I had to coordinate with family members to ensure I could get to my appointment on time. I got there right on time and was told by the front office receptionist that my name and appointment was nowhere to be found? She admitted Serenity has been having patients show up for visits that book through here yet they do not get notified. The systems do not sync and apparently it’s been an ongoing issue for a while now. Umm what?! You have patients book through zocdoc and you know they will show up yet you still have it as an option to book?! What an absolute waste of time and an unprofessional company. I will not be returning and friends will discontinue as well. Save your time and money. Go elsewhere.

Dr Clay and his staff are the best!!
Very friendly place
Dr Clay & the staff made me feel very comfortable & made me feel at ease since I was super nervous going in. Dr Clay has a great personality & very easy to talk too. I appreciate him & his staff for sure
I was overjoyed to finally find a psychiatrist. That understands me and has already begun to help me. I gave up on any help. I’ve tried to many times with no luck. But then I was blessed when I met Dr. Arron he really knows his stuff. Now I am very hopeful and happy. And I’m sure he can help me.
I was very excited and happy to meet Aaron. He seemed to understand what’s going on with me. Hopefully now I can get the help I need. I have a lot of faith in him. He’s a very pleasant and nice looking young man. I can’t wait to have more sessions with him.
Very attentive and concerned!

Dr. Clay is the best!
Waste of time. Practices keep selling televisits on zocdocs as an option, but if you have anything other than a simple head ache or sprained ankle, all of a sudden these doctors are helpless and useless until they receive the medical records from the doctors you have already mentioned. Etc.
