Dr. Adam Culver, MD

Sports Medicine Specialist
3614 Providence Rd S, Ste 200, Waxhaw, NC
Growing up, I always had a heart for service and a deep fascination with the world around me. As a child, I initially wanted to be a veterinarian, but over time my curiosity shifted toward helping people navigate the human experience through the wonders of science. Medicine sits at a remarkable intersection, where our choices, science and something greater than ourselves all come together to shape outcomes. That is what drew me in and keeps me motivated every day. I grew up as a multisport athlete and was fortunate to play college basketball. That background gives me a genuine connection to patients who want to stay active, remain competitive or simply get back to doing what they love. My experience as an athlete helps me understand what patients are going through both physically and mentally, and that perspective shapes how I care for a wide variety of people. Patients can trust me because I listen and learn what each person values. Once I understand what matters most to a patient, I can incorporate those values meaningfully into their treatment plan. At Novant Health, we believe that kind of personalized, attentive care leads to better outcomes and stronger relationships. Outside of the office, my family is my greatest joy. My wife, Leann, and I have four children. Sports remain a big part of my life, and I am also actively involved in our church, Wellspring.
