“My experience was so incredibly amazing, I walked out of that office with a pep in my step and smile on my face. I’ve never felt so seen and heard while at a doctors appointment in my life. From the front desk receptionist, nurses, doctors, the office itself, it was absolutely amazing. When the nurse brought me to the back, she looked at me and said “You’re in great hands today”, and it felt so real and genuine.
I cannot rave enough about Dr. Awosanya. She blew my breath away. I started getting emotional during the visit because for the first time in my life, I felt like a doctor was actually trying to HELP. Not just get you in and out, but she actually wanted to help me. Especially in modern times, our world and humanity has gotten increasingly more cold and distant from one another. It’s incredibly eye opening and beautiful to see people who truly care about their patients. Oh, and I ABSOLUTELY recommended this place and Dr. Awosanya to everyone I know. Haha!”

About Dr. Adebusola Awosanya
Dr. Adebusola Awosanya is a Nigerian-American Obstetrician and Gynecologist who grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and went on to complete her medical degree at Howard University College of Medicine. She later completed her residency training at Howard University Hospital, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
She is particularly passionate about advancing women’s health in underserved communities. Dr. Awosanya provides compassionate, patient-centered care and believes in empowering women to make informed decisions about their health. Her clinical interests include general obstetrics, contraception counseling, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and the management of fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, and other common gynecologic conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Awosanya enjoys staying active with Solidcore, cooking, exploring new brunch spots, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She strives to ensure that every patient receives high-quality care tailored to their individual needs and delights in serving as a trusted partner throughout each patient’s healthcare journey.

This was the best OBGYN appointment I’ve ever been to. Every member of the team was kind, competent, and knowledgeable. Dr. Awosanya is truly amazing. I was running late after coming all the way from Hyattsville and she still saw me. It was already a stressful day with running behind but she was so understanding and kind. She's very down to Earth and listened to everything I had to say and took it seriously. She was amazing! I highly recommend, this is the most I've felt heard by a doctor about my multitude of issues. I was so happy that she took me and that I found her last minute. It really made me feel seen just with her patience, her desire to help me figure out what's going on with my body and under5standing that what I'm dealing with isnt normal and I shouldnt just suck it up like most doctors have made me feel I should. I wish I couldve always come to her!

Dr. Awosanya is absolutely amazing and has a wonderful bedside manner. I’ve long struggled to feel comfortable during OBGYN appointments after some negative experiences in the past. Dr. Awosanya is patient, personable, and kind. She very carefully explained every step and every procedure and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. The office she’s at is a bit far from me but I’d happily make the trip every time for the quality of care she delivers. The nurses and front desk staff are also great!

Cigna is not an insurance they accept although it listed on zocdoc. They also won't tell you they don't accept your insurance until after you've driven 40 minutes and completed all the required paperwork online. There were more than enough instances to inform me that my insurance was out of network before my appointment. I submitted my insurance both on zocdoc and online. I also checked in for my appointment at the office using their computer and was able to select Cigna as my insurance. Then after 10 minutes I was told it was out of network. And when I asked why I was able to check in and complete everything online I was given no explanation. Whoever is working at the front needs to complete their responsibilities better as this should have been hanndled as soon as I booked the appointment. They should also not be listed as an office that accepts Cigna insurance.

I went in for an IUD removal as a new patient. Relatively simple procedure.
Incredibly well organized office with polite and respectful staff/nurses
The Dr let me know the risks for the procedure. She talked me thru the procedure as she did it so no surprise pokes or touches. It was done in a flash.
Honestly it was a much better experience than I’m used to having!
This place is now high on my list of OBGYN providers!
