About Dr. Afzal Khan

Dr. Afzal Khan is a fellowship trained, board certified non-operative Sports Medicine Physician, with an expansive experience in Sports Medicine. He was a team physician for the University of Wyoming and is currently a team physician for the Arizona Coyotes and for the Chandler and Maricopa high school athletes. He provides care to the retired NFL players, provides sideline coverage to Grand Canyon University athletes and is proficient in concussion management & ImPACT evaluations. Dr. Khan performs ultrasound guided steroid, viscosupplementation (gel), platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections and hydrodilatation. He is passionate about evaluation and treatment of sports injuries and non-operative musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Khan treats his patients like they are his family. He enjoys helping them get back to what they enjoy. Sports is a big part of who he is. He relates to the athletes and understands their drive to get back to their chosen activities safely and in a timely manner.
