He earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed his residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. First time going there and I was treated with kindness, compassion, friendliness by both the staff and doctor. Dr Hira was a great doctor, excellent listener & was sincere in his efforts to try and coordinate all the specialists I needed to see, that he referred me to, re-filled all my out of state scripts bc I had just moved back to California and really struggled to find a PCP (Primary Care Physician) that would take my Medicare only bc my Medi-Cal has not kicked in yet, still in a “pending” status. I would recommend him to anyone who has a variety of illnesses that require different specialists- like cardiologist, gastroenterologist, etc. I also loved the fact that all their records, notes, prescription history/orders, and more, are all accessible thru their online portal. You can even chat/direct msg your doctor thru it!

My intent was to find a mental health expert, so ZocDoc connected me to a Primary Care Provider who provides the referrals. I don't have clue on where to find those experts so I went with ZocDoc's plan.
The Primary Care Provider measured my vital signs. Then I described what I needed was mental health experts. He symphasized with me when I described to him my troubles.
I was given 4 referrals, and one of them worked for me in the end. So overall I would say my goals were accomplished.

Today's experience at your facility was quite disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my concerns in the hope of improving future interactions.
For instance, the receptionist came across as rude when she said, "We open at 9:00; you can take a seat until then." Frankly, I have never encountered such dismissive behavior in a doctor's office, especially considering that arriving 15 minutes early is often recommended for patients.
Of the four team members I interacted with, only one showed genuine friendliness.
Furthermore, I felt that the doctor did not fully listen to my concerns. Although he performed the specific exam I requested, he did not provide what I considered a comprehensive physical. Despite clearly stating a change in my habits, he seemed indifferent. What was even more disappointing was his response when I mentioned the rudeness of his staff. Asking me, "How are you feeling today?" was quite bizarre, especially as a new patient seeking medical attention.

My first visit at this facility and with Dr Hira for annual physical examination. I do not have a family doctor and likely he will be one unless my insurance does not cover. Dr Hira is awesome very patience and detailed. He orders all the routine blood work for me and had it drawn at the facility as well which is so convenient. My HPT is abit elevated and he will f/u with me in two weeks and recommends me to monitor my BP for the next two weeks Am /PM. I basically update him my overall issues from head to toes so will do x ray too. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a PCP around Alameda or East Bay Area.

Rude front office and short staffed

I rarely write reviews let alone good ones but I was very impressed with the doctor's professionalism and proficiency as well as thoroughness. We got straight to the point and addressed all my concerns, took necessary tests, and I walked out as a new patient complete with a care plan for my health. I felt heard and treated. Thank you.

I had a million questions, and Dr. Hira was very patient with me. He took time to address all of my concerns, offered explanations and answers that I trust, and even sent me follow-up literature via the app about some of the issues we discussed. I felt comfortable and cared for during my visit.

Easy to find the office. Almost no wait time for my appointment. Nurse was friendly and took my blood pressure and vitals, informed the doctor of my medical reasons for appointment. My appointment was with Dr. Hira for an Annual Wellness Exam. When I arrived at the clinic, the staff was able to find my appointment they took me back to the room on time. Dr Hira was attentive and thorough. He is clearly very knowledgeable and was able to think outside the box and cite newer medical research when addressing my concerns. He did not have the warmest bedside manner, which is why I gave 4 stars and not 5.
