About Dr. Ajay Padaki
Dr. Ajay S. Padaki is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in both surgical and non-operative treatment of shoulder, hip, knee and elbow injuries. His focus is on both minimally-invasive, advanced arthroscopic treatment in addition to open shoulder replacements for arthritis and fractures. He cares for patients and athletes of all ages and abilities.
Dr. Padaki studied medicine at Columbia University where he earned the New York Orthopaedic Hospital distinguished graduate award for demonstrating the most clinical aptitude and acumen to advance the field. He completed his prestigious surgical residency at Columbia University s Orthopaedic Surgery Department, where he served as an executive chief resident in his final year while helping care for Columbia University and Fordham University athletes. He concluded his training with a fellowship in the historic shoulder surgery and sports medicine division at the University of California, San Francisco, where he served as an assistant team physician to both the San Francisco Giants and the University of California.
His research interests include investigations into advancing treatment and surgical techniques for ACL reconstructions, shoulder replacements, shoulder dislocations, cartilage preservation and hip arthroscopy. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed studies and has presented his research internationally. Dr. Padaki resides in Brooklyn and enjoys playing basketball, golf, tennis and squash in his free time. He has served on research and medical missions to Central and South America.

There are doctors who just try to see as many patients and not take the time to talk to you.. This doctor took the time to actually examine me and I felt listened and heard. I’m getting an MRI done and hoping that this issue will be addressed. I highly recommend
