About Dr. Alexander Gross
Alexander Gross received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology from Emory University and then attended medical school at the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine. Upon receiving his medical degree he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Emory University. He then completed a dermatology residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Gross is board-certified in both the fields of internal medicine and dermatology.
After completing his residency at Vanderbilt, Dr. Alexander Gross made Georgia his home. He is married and has two adult sons. His interests outside of dermatology include his love of all types of music, watching professional sports, road biking, and occasionally playing the piano.

I went for an all over skin check becasue my mom has skin cancer. I brouht a friend with me. He came in and in exactly 6 minuyes was done and walked out. My other providerws of years always spent al least 20 minutes on a full body and even looked in grion area and hair. He did not. So Very disappointing to pay more tha expected for this poor excuse for an annual appt.

I think Dr. Gross is a good doctor. I've heard very good things about him. His bedside manner wasn't very warm, but....some doctors are like that. He gave me a shot without numbing the area first, which hurt a lot, so I thought a little numbing first would have been nice.
The turn-off for me was his receptionist. She never smiled (at me or anyone else). She was very cold and unfriendly, not at all welcoming, considering it was my 1st time. The 1st face you see sets the tone for the whole visit, so I think she could use some lessons in customer service.
I would recommend Dr. Gross - only because I know he is a competent doctor with an excellent reputation as a Mohs surgeon.

Checking in was easy. I had completed all patient forms online and it saved time. The staff was friendly and efficient. My wait time was short, Dr Gross was efficient, thorough, and answered all of my questions. I'm going back for surgery later, so I trust him. Very nice experience all the way around.
