“This was my 2nd visit to Dr Volpi for 2 different concerns. I returned to him because he has great bedside manner and gave me a full understanding of what may be going on. I was able to get an x’ray right away, which he viewed and advised me of the next steps which was to get an MRI located directly across the hall. Check in was very easy and stress free. The staff are pretty friendly and on top of everything. I would definitely recommend Dr Volpi to anyone looking for a great Ortho doctor. ”

About Dr. Alexander Volpi
Alexander Volpi, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine. He provides individualized, compassionate care to patients and athletes of all abilities, from high school to professional athletes to weekend warriors. Dr. Volpi graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, before completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. He then went on to the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles to complete his sports medicine fellowship, where he was part of the medical staff of the Los Angeles Angels, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Galaxy, Pepperdine University sports teams, and many local high schools, while training under the team physicians of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Dr. Volpi treats a wide variety of orthopedic and sports-related issues of the knee, shoulder, elbow, and hip. He has particular clinical interests in knee injuries of the ligaments, meniscus, and cartilage; shoulder injuries of the rotator cuff, labrum, and instability; working with overhead and throwing athletes; hip impingement and labrum injuries; and shoulder arthritis. Dr. Volpi offers his patients specialized treatment with minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, as well as state-of-the-art technology including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and biologic treatment.

Decent doctor. However, he wasnt fully attentive to what I was trying to explain about the pain I was feeling. Everything felt rushed. He claimed that my x-rays were all negative in his findings. I went to a different doctor that informed me that I had a few concerns regarding my x-ray that were taken at his office.

Made an appointment for a injury I sustained on my left leg.
I went to get checked by Doctor Volpi. Initially I did sense the friendliness. He checked the X-rays.. told me I didn’t have no fractures or anything broken.. then proceeded to check some movements and touch areas of my leg to hear my pain feedback. He came to the conclusion that I should be good to go to work and that it just needs physical therapy and time. That said I felt whenever I tried to ask questions about the injury, you can sense he wasn’t hearing me out but rather wanted to just speed through. Didn’t mentioned if I wanted a boot/crutches or if I had transportation to get to work. Furthermore the biggest problem was that I couldn’t walk without feeling pain. For safe measures I went to another orthopedic and he found a potential fracture on my foot, suggested a boot, and time off. This really bothered me because I could have hurt myself more and require more time to heal. It’s insane this was overlooked.

Great location with plenty of parking! Staff was informative and friendly..waited maybe 5 mins before being called in. The office was clean and well-appointed. I went for a knee injury and was taken for an xray right away. Dr. Volpi and his staff (including PA Madison and Nurse Angela) were friendly, kind and attentive. Each listened well, asked relevant questions, and took my concerns seriously. Dr. Volpi and his team made me a partner in my care as we created a plan that made sense for me and I left feeling as though we had a clear game plan to get me back to doing the physical activities that I enjoy.
