Dr Dow was ok. My appointment was constantly interrupted 3 or 4 times by the nurse coming into the room wanting to talk to the doctor about computer issues and other patients. It was very disruptive and annoying.

I was hurried in and out and felt more like cattle than a human being. The nurse who was the only person to wear a smile unfortunately made it apparent that my appointment (made through zocdoc) wasn’t properly scheduled on their end. She returned to the exam room multiple times to rush the doctor saying over and over “you’ve got two out there, you’ve got two”. The doctor was kind, asked plenty of questions and gave a lot of referrals, but there wasn’t much conversation regarding my health (maybe because she was in a rush). Blood was drawn, so perhaps the conversation will come after I get the results via the portal but honestly I doubt that. It was the most uncomfortable I’ve have ever felt in a doctors office, and the most unprofessional experience as well. I won’t return or recommend as this was not the right fit for me.

Dr. Dow and the nursing staff were extremely kind. I informed them beforehand of my health anxieties and my white coat syndrome and they were so kind and patient with me. For the first time, my pressure reading was actually normal in a doctors office. Dr. Dow listening to me and even referred me to specialists I needed. She is my doctor from now on!

Dr. Dow took her time and was very thorough. she was attentive to my concerns and i did not feel rushed. the medical assistant staff were also pleasant. the front desk staff were ok. im actually now having difficulty with follow up and their response post the visit. that is very disappointing. Nonetheless, I will be continuing with Dr. dow. it's rare to find physicians who take time.

Dr. Dow patiently and thoughtfully addressed all of my questions during my exam and followed up with me afterwards with additional information. This is my first appointment with her, and I plan to return!

The wait time is more than 30 minutes. The doctor is impatient when discussing about my symptoms and can't provide useful solution. If you want to see this doctor, you need to know very well in advance about what your insurance covers or not; otherwise, you will receive a surprising bill.

Then when discussing meds that I take...response was, I dont write for that, I dont do that.
Basically a useless appt.

She seemed very nice and clearly takes her job seriously, I think she was really listening and wanted to be on top of what was going on. However, she used the word obese twice during our short visit. There’s no reason any medical professional should be using that word in this day and age, first of all. It’s a subjective and non medical term that has no application in a doctors office. Second of all, I’m a size 8, curvy, fit woman. I’m not saying that because I’m defensive about being fat (weight is not a moral issue) only to say that if she was comfortable using that term to someone with a smaller body I can’t imagine what she would say to someone with an actual larger body. I overall liked her and think she’ll provide good care for what I need but if you’re in any stage of ED recovery, if you’re in a bigger body, or if you just don’t want to deal with fat phobia I would not recommend her. Find a doctor who supports you and doesn’t use subjective terms or measurements to decide if you’re healthy. I’m giving her another shot for myself but if it happens again I’ll be finding another doctor. Posting this hoping to save someone a bad experience or a huge and potentially life threatening setback in their recovery. Weight is not health.
