“Had a great experience with Dr. Thomas and her team. My wait time was a little longer than expected but I think I was one of the first patients of the day so that could be why. Being my first time there I had to complete an info packet which was fine but it had several questions repeated which was a little annoying. The nurse who took my vitals was very kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. When I met with Dr. Thomas I was taken to her office rather than an exam room, I don’t know if this is a regular practice or because I was new but I appreciated the more comfortable space to discuss my concerns before going to an exam room. Dr. Thomas was a great combination of listening, educating, and supporting my decisions. I had my IUD removed and it was nearly painless, Dr. Thomas was great at explaining the process and follow up.”

Dr. Alexandra Thomas is a compassionate and highly trained OB/GYN who brings her strong academic foundation and a passion for women’s health to the Rosh MFM team. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Human Science and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where she gained extensive experience in high-risk pregnancy care and advanced gynecologic procedures.
Dr. Thomas has contributed to research in areas including hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, emergency postpartum care, and predictors of cesarean delivery, underscoring her commitment to improving maternal outcomes. Her research includes validating the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) for postpartum women and studying interventions to reduce readmissions (View Publication on PubMed).
