Dr. Alexia Konko is a Licensed Psychologist, and earned her Doctor of Psychology Degree (Psy.D.) from The Rutgers School of Applied and Professional Psychology. During her graduate training, she completed a variety of training experiences, which included providing counseling services to individuals, children, families, and couples.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I offer diagnostic mental health assessment only at this time. I help clients better understand what their symptoms are related to in order to help them with a holistic treatment plan. I can assess for ADHD, learning disabilities and full psychological evaluations. I also offer full evaluations for the purpose of identifying a specific learning disability and/or a mental health disorder. If applicable, a diagnosis will be made and a written report with helpful recommendations will be provided. These reports may be useful in sharing with your child’s school, to aid in the development of 504 plans or an IEP.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
What sets my evaluations and therapy apart from others is my integrative, holistic approach to evaluation and treatment recommendations. This goes beyond receiving a diagnosis and providing therapeutic recommendations that are applicable to the home and school setting. I also look at the whole person (mind-body-soul) to provide client centered, lifestyle recommendations.
