About Dr. Ali Ghorbanifarajzadeh
From one coastal hotspot to another, Dr. Ali Ghorbani comes to California Foot and Ankle Center all the way from the salty shores of Miami, Florida, where he was born and raised. Growing up courtside to the Miami Heat, Dr. Ghorbani has been a devoted basketball fan since the age of 7. Dr. Ghorbani knows his own way around the hoops as well, with two decades of play under his belt.
During his long tenure playing both soccer and basketball, Dr. Ghorbani has seen his fair share of sports-related injuries. His passion for helping athletes to get back into the game shows anytime he talks about his practice. “Every day, patients come limping into my office. To watch them walk back out again – without pain – is the greatest reward!”
Dr. Ghorbani joins us to continue practicing podiatric surgery, specializing in foot and ankle pathologies. His clinical expertise in plantar fasciitis, trauma, and sports injuries is an excellent fit for the needs of our patients, from the professional athletes to the weekend warriors. Easy to crack a smile, Dr. Ghorbani approaches each new case with optimism and values building strong personal relationships with his clients.
As a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Ghorbani originally attended the University of Miami and graduated from the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores in 2014. He completed his residency in 2017, at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, California. He then completed a one year fellowship at the prestigious UFAI in Santa Monica in affiliation with UCLA. He is board-certified and a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Aside from English, Dr. Ghorbani also speaks Spanish and Farsi.
Currently, Dr. Ghorbani lives in Irvine. He keeps in shape with weightlifting and loves to explore new routes for hiking. In his free time, you can find him cooking up his favorite dishes in the kitchen or enjoying a good book.

Dr Ali is awesome. He actually takes the time to listen. He is collaborative. Instead of just prescribing expensive solutions that may not solve the problem, he intentionally started with conservative options. While I pursue those options, he will be consulting with orthos to make sure that my problem is being treated by the right people.
He repeatedly stated that his goal was to get me walking without pain with the least amount of work.
His office staff are very kind and professional.
Honestly this was one of the best doctor's appointments I've had.

Dr. Ghorbanifarajzadeh provided very good care and gave good insight in to my foot blisters.
Also helped with my ankle I hurt playing basketball. Funny sense of humor too - said I wouldn't need to worry about my ankle if I invited him because he would get all of the rebounds!
