What should a new client know about working with you?

Do you struggle with intrusive thoughts, anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, or body image issues? Are these problems making daily life difficult? Taking the first step to start therapy can be daunting, but I am here to offer unwavering support and expertise to help you overcome your challenges. With specialized training in OCD ("Pure O"), anxiety disorders, depression, and pregnancy and postpartum issues, I provide a genuine and relatable approach that will help you feel at ease during our sessions. My goal is to equip you with the tools and strategies necessary to manage your symptoms and confidently face life after therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I tailor my approach to your specific needs, drawing from proven methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I aim for you to leave therapy with me feeling more hopeful, calm, and confident, as well as having a deeper understanding of yourself. I believe that therapy should empower you with the tools you need to manage your symptoms. We will work on understanding what is not working in your life, what your values and priorities are, and will learn and practice new strategies to help move you toward those values. For OCD and anxiety disorders, therapy will be structured to help you understand the disorder, learn skills, and put them into practice. Though therapy requires work, I have seen many patients make significant progress when they commit to practicing the skills they learn in session.
