About Dr. Ama Alexis
Dr. Alexis is the newest member to join Hudson Allergy's well-established practice. With over 10 years of experience, she is Columbia-trained and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics affiliated with NYU Langone Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Alexis is double boarded in Allergy/Immunology as well as Pediatrics.
Born and raised in Germany, she received her medical degree from Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf Medizinische Fakultät. She completed her pediatrics residency at Columbia University's NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.
Dr. Alexis is a member of several professional societies, including the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. She is an invited speaker at regional and national meetings on atopic dermatitis.
She has been voted a New York Super Doctor Rising Star in 2013 and 2014.
