About Dr. Amanda Salazar
Undergraduate Education: University of Texas at Austin, 2011. Optometry School: University of Houston College of Optometry, 2015. Professional Achievements and Associations: American Optometric Association; Texas Optometric Association. Clinical Certifications and Specialties: Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. The reason I became an optometrist is: the instant gratification of positively impacting a patient's life by something as simple as prescribing an eyeglasses prescription. My favorite part of helping my patients is: taking time to listen to their needs or concerns and improving not only their eyesight but their quality of life as well. In my spare time, I enjoy: spin and barre fitness classes and cooking plant-based meals.

Great staff and beautiful office. Doc was attentive, knowledgeable and patient. Wasn’t pushed or pressured into getting unnecessary add ons or extra eye exams, I’ve been to places in the past that act like a scammy mechanic and this place did not do that. Thanks!

Near perfection! The only hiccup? I got confused when parking. I didn't realize that my GPS brought me to the parking lot instead, which is the back of the office. But the staff at the rear entrance and throughout the office were amazingly kind and helpful. The doc saw me quickly considering there were two others in front of me. The doc was super kind, got the job done and answered my questions along the way. I definitely recommend this optometrist if youre in Austin.
