Dr. Amilcar Gonzalez is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in the Dominican Republic after first completing a Master of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science in General Science at the Universidad de Puerto Rico. He completed his Family Medicine residency at BronxCare Health System and has a special interest in preventive care, chronic disease management, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity management, LGBTQ+ health, and preventive screenings and vaccinations. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Gonzalez is committed to helping patients achieve better health through personalized, evidence-based care.

Arrived 45min early for my appointment immediatly when i approched the front desk young lady seemed not too happy very dismisive while sucking on candy, she provided me a link texted to my phone which didnt work so then i was given a IPAD, towards the end of me filling out online form it asked for my CC to save on file i declined not comfortable leaving my CC information on file, when i informed the lady at the front desk she said it was office policy again I did not feel comfortable leaving that information but i can pay the co pay, she rolled her eyes sighed and told me to have a seat, waiting and waiting another PT came in and was registered and then called in so i approached her again she was again her attitude body language just told me i had to wait but never collected my co pay or registered me so i left after waiting over an hour and to be met with rude dismissive behavior. doctors need to keep in mind their staff is their representation.

Terrible experience. Overly crowded, staff was poorly managed and had terrible bedside manner. Took me nearly an hour to even be seen by the doctor, who is very nice and I absolutely would see again if it was in a different facility. I had to leave during the middle of the appointment as the experience was so disheartening and traumatic.
