Dr. Amilcar Gonzalez is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in the Dominican Republic after first completing a Master of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science in General Science at the Universidad de Puerto Rico. He completed his Family Medicine residency at BronxCare Health System and has a special interest in preventive care, chronic disease management, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity management, LGBTQ+ health, and preventive screenings and vaccinations. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Gonzalez is committed to helping patients achieve better health through personalized, evidence-based care.
Dr. Gonzalez believes the foundation of great medicine is building trusting, long-term relationships with his patients. He strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard and empowered to take an active role in their health. Had an annual physical done and prescription refill for my asthma pump. I thought I was going to be there for a while but it all felt pretty fast. The doctor was kind and patient and answered all my questions.

I hadn't done my annual physical in awhile and met with Dr. Gonzalez and without bashing me of being a bad patient, he made me feel helped and hopeful. I knew I found a great doctor just off of that fact alone. Dr. G is the best and we need more like him in the medical and health feild.
