“My appointment with Dr. Mastro was such a positive and reassuring experience. From the moment we spoke, he took the time to truly listen to what I was going through and approached everything with patience and compassion. In a time when it’s easy to feel rushed or overlooked in healthcare, Dr. Mastro made me feel heard and supported. He provided thoughtful guidance and the reassurance I genuinely needed to hear. I left the appointment feeling much more at ease and very grateful for his care. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Mastro to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate ophthalmologist.”

“Dr. Mastro was absolutely amazing . He listened And understood my concerns. Explained everything clearly so I knew what to expect next. I didn’t feel rushed or anything. I loved that he asked if I had any further questions. Most Dr’s these days don’t ask and just want to move on to the next person! I am so glad I found him. The office staff were very polite and efficient. The wait was not long at all. I would definitely recommend. Thank you again.”

Dr Mastro was very personable, did a great job explaining what he was doing and the results of my scans and what he was seeing during the exam. I had the most thorough eye examination I can remember which i believe will result if the best care possible. Will definitely continue using him as my primary eye physician.

Everything went well. Just one thing, the young woman at the reception desk was not friendly at all. Don't know if it was a bad day or perhaps it's just her manner? Other than that, it was a good experience.

Dr. Mastro is a great doctor, and his staff is very friendly and professional. He was very patient and went above and beyond to address my eyes condition. I am pleased with the medical attention I received from him. Thanks.

Routine eye exam: Great office visit. A short wait in the waiting room before some brief eye tests with an assistant. Then I met with the Ophthalmologist (Dr. Mastro) who conducted several tests and wrote me a clean bill of health. This was a great visit with all the staff being friendly and attentive.

I was unsure of the location so decided to drive by two days early. I was told I had not completed the reservation for my appt, technology and I do not do well together. The staff assisted me on the spot to correct my ways and allowed me to do the first time patient paperwork there and then. Bonus, I was able to schedule my appt earlier for my convenience, 7:50! My doctor, Dr. Mastro, and all of the staff were professional and courteous.

Dr mastro was very nice and had concerns as well which showed me that he really cared! Brandon was also very nice and helped calm my nerves!
Everything from the check in to check out was great. Friendly, professional, clean and efficiently ran office. Spanish and English spoken at front desk. The TV monitor in the waiting area provided bios of the Drs which was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed reading them. I had a trainee tech and the instructor tech provided a level of training that is to be admired. My Dr (first visit) was knowledgeable of my issues and asked if I had any questions before I left. There is a separate area for glasses.

I showed up early and was called back right away. Usually I spend over 2 hrs at an ophthalmologist but I had everything done, even as a new patient, in an hour. The staff was super nice and Dr Mastro was awesome. Very friendly and listened.

Recently moved to San Antonio and this was my first visit to this office. The front desk office staff were friendly, efficient and greeted me immediately. Rebecca, did the initial intake forms and my refraction. She was great! I felt that Dr. Mastro was very thorough and he patiently answered all of my questions about my posterior vitreous detachment. I will happily return to this office again.

Team thorough, respectful, and professional.

The office process is streamlined from start to finish. I like that they have a dimmed waiting room for when your eyes are dilating so that it isn't overwhelming. very knowledgeable staff and provider.

The initial contact by the office I almost canceled because the person who contacted me was rude and did not want to accept responsibility to look up my insurance information insisting I needed to call them. I almost canceled after asking what her job was. Then hearing her tell co worker as hanging this lady refuses to call her insurance.. I decided the reflection of her rudeness was not of the Dr. I was very pleased with the entire experience from arrival to leaving
