She attended MidAmerica Nazarene College, graduated from medical school at the University of Kansas and then completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Dr. Rowden practiced general ophthalmology for four years and then decided to further her training by completing a one year fellowship in oculoplastics surgery under the tutelage of David, Tenzel, M.D. in Savannah, GA. Over her educational and professional career, she has performed and presented clinical research at ARVO and has published research in peer reviewed journals such as “Ophthalmology”. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Rowden enjoys spending time with her children, friends, and family. She also enjoys traveling, volunteering, pilates, cycling, and is currently learning to play the guitar.
