Getting to know Dr. Angela Stotts

I've worked in academia for over 20 years and have conducted many studies with people struggling with alcohol and other substance use issues. There are evidence-based treatments to assist substance users at all levels of severity, but the treatment community has been slow to adopt them. My role is to help build the bridge from research to practice. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston, which has equipped me to contribute effectively to this field. Elysian's psychologists believe in science and are delivering state-of-the-art treatments not offered in many other programs. I'm excited to see evidence-based treatment finally reach the Houston substance use treatment community.
