About Dr. Angie Ghanayem

Dr. Angie A. Ghanayem is a 2006 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). She is a native of the northwest side of Chicago and received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) in 2002. Dr. Ghanayem completed a Master’s in Business Administration from NEIU in 2005 while concurrently completing her Optometry degree at ICO. In addition, Dr. Ghanayem completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Optometry in July 2007. She received multiple awards for her clinical work and has experience in a variety of clinical settings practicing Optometry full scope. Dr. Ghanayem is an active member of the American Academy of Optometry and American Optometric Association. She has presented scientific presentations at the Academy of Optometry with a special interest in Hybrid contact lenses and Ocular disease; as well as, research published in Optometric Management magazine. She was featured in Women of Optometry magazine in September 2009.
