About Dr. Anthony Dorsey

Raised in Severn, MD, Dr. Dorsey subsequently graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Morehouse College. For his academic achievement, he was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He went on to medical school at the University of Connecticut. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. There he served as Chief Resident prior to beginning his cardiovascular training. For his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases, he trained at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. During his last year of training, he served as Chief Fellow. After several years of developing his practice in Atlanta, he joined Atlanta Heart Specialists in 2008. Dr. Dorsey holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. During his career, he has extended his time to the community. He provided community health services to a homeless shelter in Hartford, CT. He has also been involved in speaking at churches and schools in the surrounding Hartford, CT and Atlanta GA areas.
