Dr. Anthony Galati, PsyD

Psychologist
9200 Bonita Beach Rd, Ste 213, Bonita Springs, FL
I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in working with college-aged students through older adults. My areas of expertise include relational and family dynamics, understanding of self, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and adjustment to life changes. I believe people are the authors of their own lives, and the most intimate act a person can do is to be vulnerable and share their stories with others. It is a privilege to join individuals on their journey toward growth. I hold a PsyD in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. My approach is integrative yet pragmatic. I utilize a psychodynamic foundation to quickly reach the core of one's struggles, then transition to techniques tailored to each client's needs. I believe we often trip over the past or worry about achieving our goals. It is a special experience to help people overcome adversity and grow into their desired selves.

Getting to know Dr. Anthony Galati

What should a new client know about working with you?

I feel the most intimate thing we can do is share the details of our life with one another. In this process resides the ability to seek help, heal, understand ourselves, and overcome our difficulties. I highly value and appreciate the chance to connect with those I work with to be a companion on their journey as they established a more fulfilled life. When getting started, I will reach out for a brief phone call, which is about 15 minutes. Then you will receive follow-up e-mails with instructions for completing intake paperwork (e.g., Simple Practice), and creating a profile for insurance (Headway), if necessary. It is a very streamlined process that is highly user-friendly.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process consists of having our intake followed by subsequent weekly sessions (53 minutes). As you start to achieve your goals, we can move into meeting bi-weekly, or even monthly if desired. I strongly believe in the benefit of a fluid and dynamic therapeutic process, as it can adapt to a client's emerging needs.
