About Dr. Anthony Hambright

Dr. Ham was born and raised in Gastonia, NC. As a child, he played several sports, but in high school, his main focus was football. He suffered three concussions before going on to be a Division 1 athlete at Elon University, where he played for two years as a defensive back. Hip pain and headaches were a normal way of life. He had to take 400 mg of ibuprofen before practice or games to feel competition ready. Unfortunately, during his second season at Elon, he suffered another concussion. In one of the hardest decisions of his life, he chose to cut his football career short for the sake of his health. This also meant his future dream had to change. Instead of playing in the NFL, he decided he wanted to become a physical therapist, but life had other plans.
After graduating from Elon with his degree in exercise science, his health took another step backward. His headaches worsened and eventually became debilitating migraines occurring at least three times per week. They were so severe he had to call out of work every time he got a migraine. They impacted his family life and took a toll on his romantic relationship. His medical doctor prescribed Imitrex, which improved the severity of the migraines but made him so drowsy he couldn't continue working his night shift job. Because of this, he began working at Greater Life Chiropractic in 2017 as a Chiropractic Assistant. One of the perks of his new job was complimentary chiropractic care. After only a month of care, his migraines completely went away. This experience led him to once again alter his career path, and he decided to become a chiropractor instead of a physical therapist.
Dr. Ham received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic.

After total of 3 hours spent in the office over two days, I did not receive treatment. I was told via the initial appointment scheduler that the appointment would last an hour. However, after several tests and consultations I was there for almost 2 hours. Although the information was thorough, I did not receive any chiropractic service on the first day that I scheduled to have it done despite paying a copay. After, Dr. Ham told me that I would need to return another day to undergo ANOTHER orientation, that would take and a half before I could receive services. He stated "In order to use your insurance, you must go through an orientation", which is wildly inaccurate. Nevertheless, I returned the next day hoping for chiropractic treatment and I was met with a 45 minute presentation and immediately following I met with a completely different doctor who presented me with a packet of contract to sign to pay for chiropractic services for a month or a year before I could receive the service.

I absolutely love working w Dr. Hambright and his fellow chiro practors. They listen to my concerns, they helped me heal back to better than normal after a back injury. Dr. Ham always takes time to even help me with excercises I can do at home to keep aligned and pain-free

I've seen Dr. Ham several times over the last month and am very pleased with the chiropractic treatment I have been given. My neck tension was relieved after my adjustment and I was able to focus on my work & go to the gym after without focusing on my headache/neck pain. Thank you!

Upon arrival, they were still closed. I waited a bit for them to open. More people began to show up as it got closer to their open time. Once I got in there were quite a few people. However, the staff efficiently began to direct everyone to their respective room. They also noticed that I was new and approached me and called me by my name. I did fill out some paperwork while waiting. I was given a tour of their beautiful and immaculate office. I was also given a brief history of chiropractic methodologies. All in all I had a great experience. Due to reasons of my own, they were not able to help me today. Just based on the experience that I did have with them today, I will definitely be going back to begin chiropractic treatment. Wonderful, knowledgeable, friendly and professional support through and through! Thank you all at Greater Life Chiropractor/ Tyvola.!
