About Dr. Ariel Abraham
Dr. Abraham is a board-certified dermatologist. He was born and raised in Potomac, Maryland. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned his degree in molecular biology and genetics and graduated with honors in cell biology and molecular genetics. While at Maryland, Dr. Abraham won numerous awards and research fellowships, including a prestigious research fellowship award in the dermatology branch of the Center of Cancer Research at the National Cancer Institute (NCI/NIH).
Dr. Abraham completed his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees, as well as his dermatology residency, at Stony Brook University. During his residency, Dr. Abraham served as the chief resident of both the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Northport VAMC) in Northport, and of the Stony Brook Dermatology Residency Program in Stony Brook.
Dr. Abraham has personally diagnosed, treated, and managed both children and adults with various skin diseases. Skin conditions include but are not limited to, acne, eczema, psoriasis, warts, hives, skin cancer, rosacea, vasculitis, blistering diseases (pemphigus and pemphigoid). With a special interest in skin cancer, Dr. Abraham has also successfully diagnosed and treated patients with a wide range of skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and cutaneous T cell lymphoma.
Dr. Abraham has numerous published articles in peer-reviewed journals and continues to publish new research.
Dr. Abraham is honored to provide dermatologic care at Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York, Southampton. Dr. Abraham is committed to practicing the highest quality, ethical medicine, and prides himself on a patient-centered approach.
Dr. Abraham provides care in all aspects of dermatology including general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and surgical dermatology including the treatment of skin cancer.
