“To be completely honest. If it wasn’t for Dr. Rodriguez I would not be who I am today. She gave me exactly what I wanted to gain from therapy. She made me as comfortable as ever. What I appreciated and respected the most about Ashley was her bluntness and acknowledging me on the tools I needed to deal with my traumas and anxiety. She also showed me patience, & for that I am beyond grateful. Even though my journey with her was short, I will find her again. ”

Getting to know Dr. Ashley Rodriguez

Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum changes, parenting challenges, or the weight of being first-generation, you deserve a space where you feel truly seen and supported. As a trauma-informed, relational, and culturally responsive Latina psychologist, I help individuals move through life’s transitions with care, clarity, and self-compassion. Let’s work together to break cycles, build confidence, and create a path rooted in your values.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Core Values 1. Trauma-Informed Care:?I recognize how trauma shapes the body, mind, relationships, and identity. I work with curiosity, regulation, and attunement to create safety and foster healing. 2. Culturally Responsive Practice:?I honor the complex realities of racial, cultural, and intergenerational identity. Therapy is a space where clients don’t have to explain their cultural values—they’re embraced and integrated into the work. 3. Humility:?I approach each client with openness and respect, recognizing that they are the expert on their own story. I remain committed to lifelong learning, self-reflection, and accountability. 4. Compassion:?I offer warmth, empathy, and nonjudgment, even when clients are navigating their most painful, confusing, or vulnerable moments. 5. Relational Integrity:?I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to healing. I show up with consistency, honesty, and care—balancing acceptance and challenge in service of growth. 6. Empowerment & Liberation:?I support clients in reclaiming their agency, breaking generational cycles, and creating lives aligned with their values, not just survival. 7. Sustainability & Boundaries:?I model what I teach—building a practice that honors rest, creativity, and balance as essential components of collective and individual healing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I imagine taking this step of finding a therapist may bring up a lot of feelings for you. Maybe you've been in therapy before, or this is your first time. I encourage you to really think of who is the best fit for you. By booking an intake appointment with me, we will meet to discuss your personal history and identify therapy goals. If you will be using insurance to cover the cost of sessions, please expect an email beforehand to fill out your insurance information and find out if you have any copay responsibility. Whether you will be paying out of pocket or insurance, please also expect an email from me with short assessments to complete before our appointment. After an intake session, we will discuss if we are a mutual fit. If you'd like to continue working with me, we will discuss scheduling, type of session (phone or video), and any homework assignments to complete.
